I offer an alternative to coming to your home to care for your cats. I have a very large (8'w x 10'L x 9'T), whimsical cat condo just recently repainted over the 4th of July weekend. The condo is complete with play tubes, ramps, scratching posts, toys, carpeted floor, cube bed w/sheep fleece pad, bunk bed w/sheep fleece pad, kitty decor & windows on all sides, some with chicken wire, to keep kitty in yet allowing your pet to get fresh air & for him or her to enjoy watching all the birds that come feed at the bird feeders or splash around in the bird bath just inches away-cats love it! Open air sections are closed off in colder or hotter weather or at night to keep the environment comfy with new roll-down bamboo shades. Your kitty can feel like he/she is outside as all windows are ground level & go all the way up to the roof. Carpeted floor is vaccumed & shampooed & painted wooden condo shelves dusted/sanitized before each visitor's arrival. It is full of comfy cushions and Chenille bedspreads freshly washed for each new visitor for kitty to snuggle & sleep on & a fresh pot of oat or barley grass for kitty to chew on is provided for kitty's digestion. The x-large back yard allows your pet a view from all sides & brings even more birds as the yard has many fruit trees & butterfly attracting plants making for fun scenery. Kitty can relax watching the wildlife show all around them to the soothing sound of a water fountain garden statue of little girl beside a well with 2 cats perched on the rim. In addition, the yard is kept secure with a tall fence on all sides & padlocked gate- no entrance from the street or any side & condo door is padlocked. It is in a good neighborhood, very quiet and peaceful without the annoyance of neighboring dogs on any sides of the yard. Kittys get attention as I will play with them with the toys & they get a gentle muscle massage & brushing before each meal to relax them & make them feel special & loved.
Note: Unless your kitty is an outdoor cat only, the condo is not offered for winter season as it is not insulated for cold weather.
2009 Condo Rates:
Kitty condo stays are $10/day for 3 or more days or $12/day for less than 3 days (I do not charge per pet- if you have more than one cat, it's still only $10 or $12/day). Please see the Payment & Contact tab at far left column for payments accepted. The condo can accommodate 10-12 cats at a time assuming you have that many; I will never allow another customers pets to be in the condo with your pets- they will have it to themselves. If you bring your pet(s) to me in the evening, since it’s ½ day, you only owe $5; same goes for it you were picking your cat up in the morning, it would be ½ price $5 if before noon. All you need to bring is enough food that your cat is used to eating to last the stay. Since other cats will be using the playhouse after yours, I need to be sure the condo stays clean & free of fleas so I only accept cats which are spayed or neutered to prevent spraying of urine. Cats must be on any of the following flea medications: Revolution (preferred), Advantage, Frontline, Program or other types only sold by vets. Owners of cats which are HIV/Leukemia positive, please bring their food and water bowls so their illness will not be passed along to the next customers using the playhouse. You can also bring any of their favorite toys they play with but the condo is fully stocked with them. Note: All cats must be transported to the condo in a pet carrier for their own safety. Cats not in carriers in a car can accidentally push your power window button & leap out or can get lodged under your pedals by your feet- it's just too dangerous. Walmart sells inexpensive ones. Litter box is provided filled with the #1 safest cat litter called Swheat Scoop which is 100% wheat husks, non-toxic & dust-free. Fresh, cold purified water is provided daily.
